88-Inch Safety
The Nuclear Sciences Division (NSD) is committed to providing a safe workplace for its employees, contractors, and guests and conducting its research and operations in a manner that protects the environment. In conducting its operations and research, NSD meets or exceeds Berkeley Lab, University of California, and U.S. Department of Energy policies and requirements.
Problems or questions concerning safety, occupational health, or training at the 88-Inch Cyclotron may be directed to the 88-Inch Cyclotron Safety Committee Chair or the NSD Safety Coordinator.

88-Inch Safety Committee
The 88-Inch Safety committee is chaired by the 88-Inch Program Head. To ensure communications between the Nuclear Science Safety committee and the 88-Inch Safety Committee, at least one member of the 88-Inch Safety Committee is also member of Nuclear Science Safety committee.

The main foci of the 88-Inch Safety Committee are to:
• Achieve Integrated Safety Management for the 88-Inch Cyclotron
• Ensure open, two-way communication between management and staff on environment and safety issues
• Audit and review safety documents, controls, procedures and protocols of the 88-Inch Cyclotron facility
• Solicit feedback and use it to continuously improve our safe work environment
• Respond to special 88-Inch Cyclotron needs and events.

Current 88-Inch Safety Committee Members:
Claude Lyneis (Chair), Daniela Leitner, Jim Morel, Larry Phair, and Marty White (NSD Safety Coordinator). EH&S support is provided by Jeff Bramble, and the EH&S liaison is Linnea Wahl (x7623).
