About the BASE Facility About the BASE Facility

The BASE Facility operates in conjunction with the 88-inch Cyclotron at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to provide beams of protons and heavy ions for radiation effects testing. When running, the facility is manned 24-hours a day with additional support on call. Assistance is available for shipping and receiving. Contact us for current hourly rates. Bragg curve plots, published papers, and other useful information are available on our Downloads page.
